Making shoes in Capri!

Aruna recently made an eight hour trip from the UK to Capri this week.  

There was a shoe factory there you could walk into and design your very own Capri sandals and watch them make the designs while you wait.

You can customise your very own sandals and choose the finest detailing right down to the coloured Swarovski crystals used and coloured threading!

Paralympic Fever

 

I was flicking through my September issue of Vogue today and was struck by the Olympic inspired spread. It reminded me of the wonderful paralympic opening ceremony which took place last night. This morning I was able to watch the second heat of the 100m backstroke and I watched in amazement as Nyree Kindred beat the previous paralympic record!

 

I will be wearing my gold signature butterfly shoes to show my support for the paralympics. However, I may also have to wear my bronze and silver pairs as they are also pretty incredible...Go team GB!

Bride who loves sweets!

I attended the wedding of Hayley Baxter now 'Hayley James' and Aled James this weekend in Crickhowell, Wales.  To say Hayley has a bit of a sweet-tooth is an understatement, Hayley's loved her sweet-treats since she was a little girl.  Hayley did a great job of incorporating her love of sweets into her wedding by naming the tables after different sweets like Sweet-hearts and Percy Pigs and giving each guest a bag of them to eat after the delicious meal of scallops and a heart-shaped beef fillet.  The sweets were topped up nicely with a lovely chocolate cake pinned with Hayley and Aled's name in chocolate!  Hayley looked amazing on the day and wore a pair of Aruna Seth ivory white butterfly shoes to match the strip of crystals on her bridal gown.

We were all pleased the sunshine stayed out all day too!

Spotted on the Tube

A lovely lady came to our Malmaison event last week called Sarah and she'd heard about our events through a friend of hers.  She had been lingering after a pair of Aruna Seth shoes for a while.

Sarah spent half an hour at the Malmaison trying to decide between the black patent Carrie ballerina flats and nude patent flats with a smaller butterfly.  After a hard deliberation Sarah chose the nude ballerina's.

Sarah was so delighted with her Aruna Seth purchase she sent in a lovely thank-you card and chocolates to say thank-you for her new shoes!

We love to please people with their shoe purchases!

Aruna Seth comes to the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel

What are you doing this weekend? I ask because this Sunday Aruna Seth will be hosting an event at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel. So anyone shopping around the Knightsbridge area should definitely pop along! We will be showing off our latest additions to our collection, as well as our signature butterfly shoes.

We will also be bringing along our sale shoes, so this event won't be worth missing!

Biarro Cuffs to match Aruna Seth shoes!

I've heard there is a new jewellery brand from Hong Kong launching in the UK

The brand is called BIARRO.com and they are great to match up with Aruna Seth shoes.

The cuffs are hand-crafted from luxurious exotic leathers/materials such as sting-ray, snake-skin and leather from Italy and South America.  Some of the cuffs even have personalised messages inside.  The cuff is held together by a signature clasp which is either 22k gold plated, silver, gold shiny/matte or gunmetal grey.  

I've matched up a few of the cuffs to go with Aruna Seth shoes...
